Looking at the list of custom video producers, it says:
--- To stay on this List * You must not have a lot of reported issues, unfilled orders, or complaints of bad business practices. * All inbox messages from customs customers must be replied to within 7 days. * All forum complaints about your customs service must be replied to within 14 days. * Do not use Paypal or any service that specifically does not allow adult/fetish transactions. * You must adhere to our TOS on customs. ---
I think it would also be a good idea for producers to "renew" their status at least once a year. E.g. looking at the "CaseyCumz" store, the last video was added in Dec 2014 and the producer last logged into this site in Aug 2016. It's possible that she's still active, but I doubt it.
If someone gets removed from the list, then comes off hiatus, they can always be re-added; I'm not suggesting a ban or anything like that, just a more up to date list of who to approach.
Thanks, I hadn't considered automatically removing them after not logging in for some time. I supposed that makes sense. I'd have to come up with a routine to maybe contact them firsthand and then take them off if no response. Or program it to automatically remove them and send them a message.... I appreciate it. I'll think about it.

Given the new rules require all messages to be responded to in 7 days, I'd make it a lot shorter than that, while still allowing fo people being on holiday of whatever. I'd suggest if someone hasn't logged in for 3 months they get removed from the list, and at the same time an email is sent saying what's happened. And add a button on their profile they can log in and click to be re-added to the list, but which only works if they've not been removed by admin.
So an auto-drop is easily reverted, and reminds them they need to log in reasonably frequently.

Oh yeah, completely forgot about that. I was more or less thinking about the ones who are currently on the list, but haven't really done anything in a year or more.
Also, gotta remember that things won't change unless someone reports them. So you could send a message to an inactive member, but unless they report it to MM, It's doubtful anything would happen.

No, this can be entirely automated, the UMD database already knows when each user last logged in - it's displayed on your profile page - so as soon as someone's last login date goes beyond the allowed timeframe, the removal and auto-email can be triggered, no need for anyone to report anything.
In the same vein, it might be cool if there were a way to encourage approved customs producers to update their available models list annually as well. Some producers are great about doing this, but there are others who have models who haven't shot with them in years, much less who would be available for a custom.
