What are your age verification services?
To stay compliant with international laws, we use age verification services to confirm that visitors from locations that require verification are over 18. This process is free for our users. Here are some details about the services we've signed on to.
Yoti
App required. You’ll click a link that takes you to the Yoti website. You'll scan their QR code with your phone and download the Yoti app. You'll upload a photo ID and face scan to the app. Once that process is complete, you will be brought back to this site, and restrictions will be lifted. None of the info you send to Yoti is ever shared with us—we only receive confirmation that you’re over 18.
Veriff
No app required. You’ll click a link that takes you to the Veriff website. You'll scan their QR code with your phone or computer camera, or have them text you a link, both of which take you to the signup process. You'll upload a photo ID and face scan. Once that process is complete, you will be brought back to this site, and restrictions will be lifted. Veriff does share your real name, phone number, and address with us, but we do not access this information for any purpose, and it is never stored, logged, or backed up on our servers.
